21.09.2009 - Metabolomic Discoveries has been featured on german television

The regional tv station rbb has broadcasted a clip about the flavor qualtities of tomatoes and metabolomic studies to improve taste and nutrition in their show rbb Brandenburg WAS!. Dr. Nicolas Schauer discussed recent studies on identifying flavor and nutrients in tomato employing metabolome analysis. This approach and the gained information will lead to improved tomato quality. First segments to benefit from a focus on flavor and nutrients are glasshouse tomatoes. Mostly produced in north-west Europe and bred by dutch seed companies. Watch the video.
